About
I regularly teach courses in early and nineteenth-century American literature and culture and American Indian literature. I am currently working on a monograph treating the intersection of theatre and oratory in the antebellum U.S.--particularly the ways in which theatre represented and probed fears about the relationship between public speech and collective violence.
