About

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Kansas. My majors are Comparative Politics (mostly Latin American Politics) and International Relations (focus on Foreign Policy).

I received my MA from the University of Kansas in 2007. My MA thesis was titled: "Punishing Corruption: The Impact of Corruption Allegations in the 2006 Brazilian Elections."  I also received a Graduate Certificate from the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in 2009.

I received my BA from Baker University (Baldwin City, KS) in 2004 with a double major in International Business and Political Science.

Most of my research has focused on the Brazilian Congress. In my dissertation I focus on Brazilian state legislatures and the level of women's representation in these institutions.
